Fascinating Findings about Sound Frequency Healing
My colleague, Caitlin, and I have learned a lot about sound and light frequency healing over the past year as we have learned more about our amazing Harmonic Egg®. We both find the topic absolutely fascinating so I’m sharing some of what we have learned….
I wrote a *very* long newsletter that I have decided to split into three separate newsletters you’ll receive over the next few weeks.
Today’s will cover the super interesting things (at least to us!) we learned about sound healing, also known as vibroacoustic therapy or low frequency sound stimulation.
History of Sound Healing:
In the Western world, sound healing dates back to the ancient Greeks and Egyptians, who used music and sound in their healing rituals. Traveling even further back in time and to the southern hemisphere, the Aboriginal people of Australia used the didgeridoo and drums to help heal broken bones and muscle tears.
These groups observed that the vibrations created by instruments resonated in certain areas of the body – drumming, for instance, affects the bones and deeper areas of the body, making it helpful with fractures and deep blood flow.
Much like the Chinese and Asian cultures observed that pressure on one area of the body alleviated pain and had a multitude of benefits in other areas (and eventually resulted in what we know today as acupuncture), ancient people in Western cultures and the traditional people of Australia noticed that vibration created by various sounds aided healing.
Different areas of the body that are affected by the vibrations of various instruments:
Harp, Piano, Drums, and Human Voice = affects whole body
Double Bass (Viol) = low to mid-abdomen
Cello + Viola = low abdomen, chest, throat
Violin = chest, throat, head
Guitar = low abdomen to chest
Flute = head
Clarinet and Oboe = throat, head
Trumpet = solar plexus
Chimes = head
Close your eyes and imagine hearing each of the above instruments – you can feel them in your body…
Modern Sound Frequency Applications:
These days, sound frequencies play a crucial role in various biomedical practices, ranging from imaging and diagnostics to therapy and even cell manipulation. The following are examples of how modern medicine is using sound frequencies:
High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU): Uses focused beams of high-frequency sound to heat, ablate, or break down tissue, often used in cancer treatment and surgical procedures.
Acoustic Manipulation: Uses standing waves to arrange cells or other particles, potentially enabling the creation of complex in vitro tissues.
Brain Imaging and Therapy: Explores the use of sound and vibration across a range of frequencies to extract information from the brain or focus energy on it for therapeutic purposes.
Binaural Beats: Uses a difference in frequency presented to each ear to create the perception of a beat, which can be used to induce specific brainwave states to promote relaxation or focus.
Vibroacoustic Therapy (also known as Low-Frequency Sound Stimulation): Uses low-frequency vibrations and sound waves in the audible range (40-80 Hz) to modulate the nervous system, stimulate the body’s natural healing responses to reduce pain, improve circulation, improve mobility, and promote relaxation.
The Harmonic Egg® uses vibroacoustic therapy (low frequency sound stimulation) and binaural beats to balance and regulate the autonomic nervous system.
Sound AND Light Frequency in the Harmonic Egg®
The Harmonic Egg® utilizes both sound healing and full spectrum light frequency therapy so that you can tap into the benefits of both modalities at one time.Next week’s newsletter will be all about color and full spectrum light frequency healing.
The primary benefit of the Harmonic Egg® is that it powerfully affects the autonomic nervous system to stimulate the body’s natural ability to regulate and heal.
Why this matters to you
Benefits of regulating the autonomic nervous system include:
Improved sleep
Elevated energy levels
Improved immunity
Improved mental clarity
Hormone regulation
Increased focus and creativity
Improved circulation
Sense of emotional and mental well being
Decreased levels of inflammation
Improved digestion
Pain reduction
How many sessions are needed to see results?
As with acupuncture and basically every other kind of natural therapy, multiple sessions – typically weekly for a few to many weeks – are necessary in order to derive lasting therapeutic benefits for periods of elevated to extreme stress, and for severe acute or stubborn chronic issues. Monthly “tune-ups” are helpful when life is generally steady and you are feeling good.
As with all natural therapies, improving lifestyle habits will speed the process and help you feel better faster.
